About Survival Cents
Real preparedness knowledge from someone who's lived it, without the gear sales pitch.
Who I Am
I'm a military veteran and former officer with a technical background. I spent over a decade on active duty working in engineering, security operations, and risk assessment. That career gave me a front-row seat to how systems fail, how threats emerge, and why the "just-in-time" lifestyle most Americans live is historically bizarre.
My training wasn't theoretical. I went through combat survival programs where I was hunted in the woods, lived off the land, and learned to evade and operate under extreme pressure. I've had small team tactics training. I've seen what happens when plans fall apart and resources run out. Every method I share on this site has been tested, either by me personally or through rigorous research.
For thousands of years, preparedness was normal. Our grandparents didn't call it "prepping"—they called it "living." I created Survival Cents because most modern preparedness advice assumes you have hundreds to spend and a bunker to fill. Real resilience is about practical skills, not expensive gear.
Here's what you won't find on this site: ads, affiliate links, cookie tracking, or sales pitches. This isn't a business; it's a mission. My goal is to spread knowledge and help people become more capable and reality-aware, so we can build a better, more resilient future together.
Core Principles
Most solutions cost under \$50, with many completely free. If it requires expensive gear, it doesn't make the cut. Preparedness shouldn't be a luxury reserved for the wealthy.
Every technique is verified through personal experience, rigorous research, or both. No unverified claims: just methods that work under real pressure.
Zero ads, zero affiliate links, zero tracking. This site exists to share knowledge, not to sell you gear you don't need. When advice comes with a commission, you can't trust the recommendations.
No zombie apocalypse fantasies or doomsday fear-mongering. We focus on real threats, practical solutions, and building actual capability, not feeding paranoia.
Why This Matters
The way we live now (completely dependent on fragile supply chains, just-in-time delivery, and infrastructure that's one storm away from failure) is the historical anomaly. For thousands of years, self-reliance wasn't a hobby. It was survival.
I'm not trying to scare you. I'm trying to help you see reality clearly. Systems fail. Disasters happen. Supply chains break. And when they do, the people who've invested in knowledge and skills will fare far better than those who invested in expensive gear.
My mission isn't to make you paranoid; it's to make you capable. Because a more resilient population builds a better future. When communities can take care of themselves, we're all stronger.
How This Site Works
Skills Over Gear
Every article focuses on what you can DO, not what you can BUY. Knowledge weighs nothing, costs nothing to maintain, and can't be confiscated or broken.
Budget Constraints Are Real
I test every method with real budget constraints. If it costs more than \$50 or requires specialized equipment most people don't have, it doesn't make the site.
Beginner-Friendly
Guides assume zero prior experience. Complex processes are broken into simple steps with clear explanations, visual aids, and troubleshooting tips.
Continuous Learning
Content is regularly updated based on new research, community feedback, and evolving best practices. Survival knowledge isn't static, and neither is this site.
Join the Mission
We're building a community of people who believe preparedness should be accessible to everyone. No sales pitches, no fear-mongering: just practical knowledge that works.
